Description
Basic is the simplest method for UQ studies offered by mUQSA. In the Basic method, the model is repetitively run with the same input values as samples, and the statistics are constructed based on collected results of the runs.
The main practical application of the Basic method is to measure the internal variability of the model. You define input parameters, set values, submits a model for a repetitive execution, and finally obtain main statistical insights as a result; all this without the use of any sophisticated algorithms.
In order to investigate different combinations of input parameters, you need to do it manually one by one.
Features
The Basic method is applicable whenever an internal variability of the model is present, and you want to measure it, or when you want to explore different combinations of parameters manually.
The usage of Basic method comes with certain considerations. The manual exploration may be complex and highly ineffective. Unlike more advanced methods, the Basic method lacks automation, relying on user input for all aspects of exploration. Thus, only clear research goals and objectives justify its usage.
